What I Believe ...

Accountability
Public schools are accountable to the community and must spend taxpayers' monies responsibly.  The community should be fully informed as to how those public funds are being used.

Accessibility of School Board
School Board members should be visible, accessible, and responsive to the needs of the community in which they serve.

Quality Curriculum
Our focus must always be on assisting each child, from those with the greatest needs to those who are the most gifted, in reaching his or her fullest potential, including providing opportunities to grow leadership skills and build on personal areas of strengths.

Parental Involvement
Strong parental involvement goes hand-in-hand with high achieving schools.  We must continuously seek to involve parents in the local school programs and be respectful parental rights.

Learning Environment
Our public school environments must be safe and conducive to learning.  Continuation and expansion of the existing anti-bullying program is critical.  Due diligence also must be exercised in making determinations of what content children are exposed to within the school environment.

Quality Staffing
The use of creative efforts to recruit, develop, and maintain highly qualified staff is essential to the delivery of quality programming and maintenance of a high-performing school division.
